Frequently Asked Questions
- What are your hours?
-
So my hours are somewhat limited because I do have a full time job, Monday - Friday an hour from home. During the months where the sun sets later, I can swing week day evenings. I am also open on weekends, but I do schedule photos around my kids' sporting events, family trips, etc. I have never had an issue finding a time and date that works for both me and the client, we just have to be flexible!
- Where are you located?
-
I am located in Robbinsville, NC!
- Do you ever deliver the SOOC, unedited version of the photos?
-
Absolutely not. I take pride in how hard I have worked to develop my style of editing and I will not release a single image that does not reflect that. If you are planning to book me, I suggest you look at some portfolio examples to see what my editing style is like ;)
- Do you deliver every image you shoot?
-
I do not. I go through each gallery and cull duplicates, missed focus shots, etc. Then, I upload a proofing gallery of the unedited images to allow you to choose your favorites - each package comes with a set number of free digitals, with the option to purchase more. Once your favorites are selected, I edit those photos and upload a high res gallery with the edited images and send to you via email :)
- What payment options do you accept?
-
I use Honeybook, which is an online client management system and I send my invoices from there to your email. The accepted forms of payment are bank account and card. If for some reason you need to pay a different way, we can discuss other options - I am flexible!
- Do you charge a travel fee?
-
I do charge a travel fee if the session location is more than 30 miles from where I reside. This will be reflected on the invoice and in the contract as well, if it applies to your shoot.
- Do you have a cancellation policy?
-
When you book, you pay a retainer to hold your spot. Your spot is not held on the calendar until the retainer is paid. If you cancel, you will not get your retainer back unless there is bad weather making it impossible to follow through with the session, or there is a death in the family. Your contract will go over this as well. When you pay the retainer and I book you, this means this time is unavailable for any additional clients.
If you no call no show, you will NOT get your retainer back.
- Do you shoot weddings?
-
You betcha! I love shooting weddings and I have a customized wedding package I can share! I also provide you with a customized wedding day photo schedule! If you want to know more about my wedding packages, just fill out a contact form and I'll be in touch!
- What rights do I have to the digital photos?
-
You have the right to reprint images whenever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of Katie Beasley Photography, LLC.
- If I cancel a session, will I receive my deposit back?
-
Unfortunately, no. Once you are on my calendar and your deposit is paid, I do not accept any clients during that time I have booked you. If you cancel last minute, this means that not only does another client miss out on a time slot, I miss out on having a paid client during that time. I do, however, understand things out of our control can happen. The only two exceptions in which you would receive your retainer back is a death in the family and if the weather does not permit. If either of these two unfortunate events occur, I allow clients to use the retainer already paid and put it towards another date and time, if they choose to do so. If not, I will refund the retainer. Your contract will go over this as well.
If you no call no show, you will NOT get your retainer refunded.
- What type of sessions do you offer?
-
I do couples, weddings, engagements, maternity, seniors, families, portraits, lifestyle, and occasional events!!
- How do I book a session?
-
Super simple! Find the 'CONTACT' button on my page and fill out the form! It sends your inquiry straight to me!
- What about rescheduling?
-
I understand that life happens. People get sick, and things go wrong. If you need to reschedule for any reason, please try to give me 48 hrs notice. If you happen to fall ill the day of your session, please reschedule. I will often times allow weather rescheduling if it is down pouring and sideways rain that hinders our photo session. If your reschedule is approved, your booking fee will carry over onto your new date.
- Tardiness
-
Please plan enough time to get to your session. If you are running late, please call me. I respect every single client's time and put an incredible amount of effort into scheduling and planning a session, so please respect mine. If you have a 60 minute session scheduled and you are 10 minutes late, you will then have a 50 minute session. If you are more than 20 minutes late without calling, you will forfeit your booking fee and I will have the right to cancel the session. I of course understand unforeseen circumstances such as illness or accidents. If I am late, I will communicate that with you and your session time will not be affected.
